Thanks for stopping by!

I am a writer and director who is passionate about laughter, philosophy, subverting expectations, working with actors, being humanitarian, helping others, and playing with my dog Ralph. I left Film School with a passion for creating fiction, making more than a dozen shorts, which have played all over the world, with “Shotgun!” winning Best Director and Best Comedy at the New York International Film Festival. I also wrote and directed 2 TV pilots, and was a finalist at Tropfest in 2016 with my film “Waste of Time”.

Early in my career I followed some incredible opportunities in the non-fiction realm, including producing work with MTV Australia on “Mastered by Molly”, WWE with “Tour Down Under”, and for Samuel Johnson’s “Love Your Sister Foundation”, which included directing an hour long documentary for Network 10, hosted by Guy Pearce. I am incredibly proud of my time with Samuel Johnson, my work directly contributing to the raising of over $10m for cancer research.

While living in the UK, I maintained my interest in fiction by working on studio films including “Ready Player One”, “Phantom Thread”, “Transformers: The Last Knight”, and “All The Money In The World”. I will never forget the moment when I walked onto set on “Ready Player One” and Steve Spielberg was standing there on his own, blocking out the next scene we were getting ready to shoot. Observing him at work every day was awe-inspiring.

Covid-19 has brought me back to Australia and given me the chance to take stock. (Quite literally in some regard - I spent most of our Melbourne lockdowns learning how to trade in the stock market.)

I like my ability to tell stories, the honesty in my work, and my passion for filmmaking. My career has taken me all over the world, working in an array of situations – from being a one-man crew, to a part of Hollywood studio films.

I have decided to return to my first screen love – fiction – and I am excited to be focusing on building my directing & writing career in Australia. My goal is to learn from the best directors in Australia; including TV drama, features and commercials.

Currently I am looking for directing opportunities, making a short film and trading Jpegs for cryptocurrency in very strange world of NFTs.
